Dismantle by Olivia Glinski

These color monoprints peel back the layers of the carceral state. As the prints progressively remove elements of confinement, a community is revealed. One that centers artmaking, one that restores humanity, one that resists oppression. This piece was informed by the conversations, connections, and mutual learning I interacted with on my curatorial trips to prison facilities across Michigan. This piece is an ode to the strength, resilience, and dedication artists inside must possess to create while in confinement.
