Abstract

Many artists find freedom by operating outside of more traditional genres, making something non-representational, or creating a work that showcases relationships between shapes, colors, and forms. In many of the artworks shown here, you can see the artist taking pleasure in the process of making the piece by creating textures and patterns that build up on the surface of the paper or canvas as they work.
